Sorry I am late posting this--I know none of you were able to officially start your New Year without it--hahaha! Every year, I write a reflective end of the year blog around New Year's Eve. In past years, I have reflected month by month complete with pictures for this post. However, this year, I think I am changing it up---I mean my two readers don't really care, do you?!?---okay then! 2013 was full of lessons, discoveries, and journeys, but in this blog, I will relive the 13 highlights of '13. 13 highlights of 2013 Lost weight ---This is a continuous journey, but 35 pounds and 26 inches lost and kept off is a big deal!! The Saints have started this football season 0-2. We have not had a start to a season like this in 5 years and yet, I still believe. I still believe in this organization and these boys. Sure, sometimes the fans of the Black and Gold get a bad wrap but, here's why I think Saint's fans are the best in the league: * We own the losses just like the wins. We don't make excuses. We admit when we are outplayed. *Our boys are our biggest fans as well. They really are. They love the Who Dat Nation and they love my city and my state.  *We have to fight and overcome for every victory both on and off the field. Jacqueline Cochran Today I went to New Orleans on a “Joan of Arc” mission. Actually, I was just bringing him for a check up after his surgery. Our day started with a trip to Harlow’s Donuts, of course. Drew, my “Joan of Arc” mission, and I always have the best experiences together. So, when the little old man who was pushing 80 at a mere 5’1” called Drew “a little boy” while the man proceeds to flirt with the donut cashier, we knew this day held many adventures. Boy, were we right!! The drive down there was pretty mild, filled with wonderful conversation. The fun really began when we enter New Orleans and got behind a school bus full of children who were around the age of 9 or 10.
