Fab Faith Fix

So, I just clicked “view blog” on my dashboard and saw that my last post was June 24th, for this, my handful of readers, I do apologize. I realize that I have deprived you for almost a month from your Fab Faith Fix! Yes, that’s what we shall now call this blog, as if Oscar coined it himself…your Fab Faith Fix! Love it!

I know you are on the edge of your seat with anticipation of what awaits your reading eyes! This past month has been nothing less than this crazy beautiful life that God has blessed me with! In the midst of car wrecks, cars breaking down, medical tests, carpooling, being told I had the magic and I could press a certain doctor’s buttons anytime, definitely making cupcake day a must in my life, and seeing The Proposal 3 times, there’s still a peace in my soul, THANK the Good Lord or else you would no longer ever be able to get your Fab Faith Fix for I would be in a padded cell! =)

During these past weeks when I have failed you miserably as my “followers” I have decided to that I need to go on a diet and actually make use of the gym membership that I pay for….and I say this as I am staring at two thin mint girl scout cookies….I should say there were four….oops!!………………..and now there’s one. I also bought two books, Wuthering Heights and The Secret Life of Bees. I have never read Wuthering Heights and its considered a classic so for $4.95 I will see what all the fuss is about and don’t you worry, I will keep YOU posted!

Last Friday night, I went on a "date"……………..with my Pops.(Basically he just needed HIS Fab Faith Fix!) (hahaha I probably love that TOO much!) Pops, for those of you who don’t know has in the past 2 and a half years come back into our lives. He is my mom’s brother. Let me just say there will be more blogs about this man. We met in Natchitoches and ate at Nikki’s, it’s a quaint little Mexican Restaurant right before you enter town. WONDERFUL! It was so good to be able to sit down and talk with him about things and life. He’s definitely a blessing in my life and can’t wait to see what all God has in store for him. OK, well it is now 10:15, there are no more thin mint cookies calling my name, well they at least are staring at me!!! =) Big Day tomorrow….I ask for your prayers….I will blog about that at a later time when details emerge. As for this week, I am super excited about some a major VOLLEYBALLIN’ time Wednesday night!!!

I have known you for awhile now and never knew this side of you. I'm in total awe of you and find myself checking your blog numerous times a week. "Fab Faith Fix" is exactly what it is. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us and I have nothing but admiration for you. I can't wait to hear about what has you so nervous and just who the heck is this doctor?

My Grandpa

As I am sure many of you have read or heard, my grandfather passed away this week after a long hard fought battle over the years and especially this last month. One thing can be said for sure, my grandfather was a fighter with a will to live and one you never heard complain about any of his ailments. He always had a smile on his face and a content heart just to be with his loved ones. Through the past several weeks I have stopped and just watched as the hand of God has carried my family with His outpour of grace and mercy in some very unfortunate circumstances and times. I sat next my fading grandfather as he caressed a picture of a better and younger era with his shaking frail hand, a time where health and time were on his side. A time where dreams were being sought and the future was bright. He stared at the picture and you could almost see the memories on his face as he was seeing them. Blogging Off The Weight & More

Nope, I have not forgotten, everyday when I crave that chocolate or that supersize meal... I think about this picture of the old cantankerous lady in a moo-moo and try my best to resist such temptation!! The scales are showing a loss of about 28 pounds (depending on the week of the month its 30, HA!!!!) While these results are slow I am reminded that just like everything else in life, this too is a process, filled with ups and downs. Do you ever just have those rare days that you feel skinny?? I know I do and those are the days that I REALLY try to avoid the mirrors! Let me have my delusional skinny day once a month! haha One day, it will no longer be a delusion and I will have a flat stomach but that day is not today!
