A Quickie With A Request

For my handful of faithful readers, I just wanted to let you all know, I have not abandoned nor have I forgotten about this blogspot! Infact I have a very unique blog in the works if I could just sit down and write it. Life here has been a little chaotic lately, ya know with me being a celebrity and all.....(thats a joke)..but seriously autumn is usually my favorite time of the year; however, Last autumn was filled with three major events that altered my world but God is good and His mercies are truly never ending!! This autumn has found my family at the bedside of my grandfather who is in respiratory and kidney failure, along with fighting being toxic and a sloo of other medical conditions. As if this isn't enough there are other family dynamics here that I can literally see the hand of God working out, and while its exhausting to my human mind and emotions its nothing less than beautiful. So, if I may ask anything of you at this time it would be to please remember my family in prayer. The doctor told us last night that if there's no improvement with my grandfather in the next few days, the family will have to make a decision. I ask that you pray for God's Will, Mercy and Strength. Thank you all!! I hope to write soon and it be on a much lighter topic. Have a glorious day -- Faith

As I am sure many of you have read or heard, my grandfather passed away this week after a long hard fought battle over the years and especially this last month. One thing can be said for sure, my grandfather was a fighter with a will to live and one you never heard complain about any of his ailments. He always had a smile on his face and a content heart just to be with his loved ones. Through the past several weeks I have stopped and just watched as the hand of God has carried my family with His outpour of grace and mercy in some very unfortunate circumstances and times. Blogging Off The Weight & More

Nope, I have not forgotten, everyday when I crave that chocolate or that supersize meal... I think about this picture of the old cantankerous lady in a moo-moo and try my best to resist such temptation!! The scales are showing a loss of about 28 pounds (depending on the week of the month its 30, HA!!!!) While these results are slow I am reminded that just like everything else in life, this too is a process, filled with ups and downs. Do you ever just have those rare days that you feel skinny?? I know I do and those are the days that I REALLY try to avoid the mirrors! Let me have my delusional skinny day once a month! haha One day, it will no longer be a delusion and I will have a flat stomach but that day is not today! Lovin' My Louisiana

Let's face it, Louisiana gets a bad rap most of the time. Sure, we may not have it all together but show me a state that does. Having grown up in Louisiana, I may be a little partial. While I love to visit other states and every now and then I toss the idea of living elsewhere, my heart always comes back to my Louisiana and why I love her so. I could not imagine living elsewhere when football season rolled around, or even the ungodly summer heat, I think I would miss it...
