Perspective, Anxiety, & A Ramble

What if I told you the mark of the beast was your cell phone ?
Or social media?
Would you be as irrationally outraged?

Did you know that at one time the barcode was thought to be the mark of the beast?

Or that the microchip you’re so worried about is in your hand right now as your reading this—in your phone?

Do you really read all of those terms and conditions that you accept so freely??
If you did, then I’d be willing to bet that a “microchip vaccine” would be the last of your worries.

There’s nothing in phase 3 about a vaccine. We make it to Phase 2 and schools can open.
Sure, there will be changes. But here’s a newsflash: There are always changes!
And just for good measure: schools are not a daycare.

Stop believing and sharing everything you see on the internet. Y’all, just stop.

Stop posting every little and big conspiracy theory. Y’all, stop. Seriously.

I’ve always said that I’d like to think I’d stand up if I’d have lived during the Holocaust. I’d like to believe that I would’ve hidden people.
But during this modern day time, you know what I refuse to do?? Compare a few minor inconveniences to the slaughter of 2 million people. I don’t know what has to go on in someone’s head when those are equated. I’m not sure that any of my freedoms have been taken away. Think about it—have yours??

Covid-19—aka Coronavirus—aka the Rona is real. I know people who have had it. I know people who have died from it. Stop downplaying their suffering because you’re annoyed or don’t understand or believe every little thing the wind blows your way.

What rights have been infringed upon? I’m genuinely asking because I don’t see it. I see guidelines. I see suggestions.

Stop bullying people online because they want to wear a mask. Maybe that makes them feel safer during this. Maybe they are highly susceptible. Maybe their right to wear a mask doesn’t infringe on your right NOT to wear one.

Maybe if we stopped sharing every little thing about this pandemic and started helping our neighbor more would be accomplished. Maybe if we prayed for our leaders rather than drumming up conspiracy theories more would get accomplished. Have you seen how much some of the leaders have aged during all of this? They are people, just like you and me, first and foremost. Maybe if we looked at the people instead of assumed agendas our hearts and thoughts would be better.

I’m not saying bury your head in the sand, but I am saying have some wisdom when you click share or post. Not every thought or opinion needs to be heard. And with that, I will stop here.

We have to do better. We can do better. We are better—I hope.
